Position Title: Collections Specialist (Temporary - 3+ Months, Onsite)
Location: North County San Diego
Position Summary:
We are seeking multiple detail-oriented Collections Specialists to support a high-volume accounts receivable team in an onsite environment. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of B2B accounts, reducing past-due balances, and ensuring timely payment through consistent follow-up and customer communication. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting and is comfortable handling a large volume of outbound collection activity daily.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain a portfolio of commercial accounts with past-due balances
Conduct outbound calls and send email correspondence to collect outstanding payments
Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up on payment commitments
Review aging reports and prioritize collection efforts to meet cash flow targets
Research and resolve billing discrepancies in partnership with internal departments
Document all collection activity accurately within the system
Reconcile accounts and ensure proper posting of payments
Maintain professionalism and strong customer relationships while enforcing payment terms
Meet daily, weekly, and monthly collection performance goals
Qualifications:
2+ years of B2B collections or accounts receivable experience
High-volume call experience required
Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work onsite in a team-oriented environment
Preferred:
Experience working in a fast-paced corporate or distribution environment
Experience handling large account portfolios
